A little over a year ago my friend Susan and I had the idea to start a Bunco group. Bunco is a really easy dice game that you play with 8 or more people. For us it's a great night to get together play a game and laugh a LOT. I look forward to it every month. Another group member, Emily, had the idea to have theme nights. For our first one we had Mardi Gras Bunco. We used neclaces to keep score and I attempted to make a king cake. The icing wasn't great but the cake was. Thanks girls for making the night so much fun!
I love to see Katie make friends with other girls and hope she always has a good group to hang out with. Yesterday she had a friend over and they had a great time playing together and just being girls. They played barbies and I painted their fingernails. Days like this I really wish she had a sister. However, It was nice to only have one kid to get ready school this morning.
It's gray and drizzly outside but my mood is still good. Here are a few things that help.
This is the perfect accessory for someone that has to spend a lot of time in waiting rooms. I can play games, send emails, or watch movies. It's a lifesaver.
I love the spring collection and there's an outlet not far from me. I could spend all day there. Their clothes are beautiful and I usually wear a size smaller than normal, which always helps my mood.
I spend a lot of time at the doctor and although I'm very thankful for good doctors, good nurses are even better. They sit with me during treatments, know about my life, and genuinely care. It's so important to me.
This is Katie with the teacher from her 3 yr old class at the school halloween party. Katie LOVES her and stops by twice a day to give her hugs. All of her teachers have been amazing and they love the kids SO much. I'm so thankful she's there. I'm pretty sure I'll have a much harder time than she does at Pre-K graduation.
She loves pizza, movies, and shopping. She's brave, smart, and funny. I've said it 100 times but I am so proud to be her mom.
****I had to double check and make sure it was thursday before I wrote this. My mood is good but my brain is still fuzzy.****
I love the weather this week! It feels like March instead of February. I'm also excited about taking pictures this weekend. It feels so good to be back to work. With each picture I take I start to feel more like myself. I'm taking pictures at one of my favorite places Saturday, Baker Buffalo Creek Vineyard. It's gorgeous!
We had a nice valentine's day. Katie's teachers and classmates loved the picture gifts. I love them too.
I also put together a gift for my husband.
The pictures says "I've got a CRUSH on you!" I have a confession, he doesn't like orange crush that much, but I do. Anyway, I couldn't think up anything cute for cheerwine.
The best gift of all came in the mail that afternoon.
Yep, we're going to Disney World. I am so excited!!!
We went to our favorite mexican place for dinner, then ended the evening watching a favorite TV show. We also had a good time talking about other Valentine's Days that didn't go so well. Like the one where I accidentaly booked us to eat at a place that was $75 a person, or the time Dan gave me flowers that smelled like cigarette smoke. Yesterday was definatley the best valentine's ever!
