I've been a little slack taking pictures the last few weeks. I still enjoy it but I've slowed down a some over the last month. School, sickness, and other things have kept me from it. Here are few recent favorites.

good friends....

...and the newest member of our "family"....Liam. He the first born of my best friend and so so sweet.

Katie was so excited to meet him.

there is always something

I started this post a few days ago. I was feeling sorry for myself and wasting time on the internet when I saw this picture.

It's so true. There is ALWAYS something to be thankful for.

here's my list

my husband - we're a smart match

the way my daughter smiles when I pick her up from school in the afternoon

mcdonald's hot chocolate

food experiements that work

food experiements that are disaters and result in going out to eat

modern medicine

my parents

football sundays

my sisters

my girlfriends that refuse to let me go to the movies by myself

bunco nights when we talk instead of play

my husband's family

a trip to the dentist with no cavities

days when I feel good

There is so much more that I could list. What are you thankful for?

{Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!  Psalm 107:1}

a new perspective

A few weeks ago we gave Katie her own camera. She loves taking pictures and I get a kick out of looking at them at the end of a day. It's always a fun little surprise to see what she's captured.

I love this one!

our little family

She's recently discovered the video setting. Here she's giving an introduction to the movie Tangled while I'm cooking.

So long summer

This past weekend we spent a few days with my husbands family at their lake house. I love it there. It's not fancy, just a place to sleep, the water, and a big porch but we always have a great time. It was a great way to spend the last offical weekend of summer.

Pinterest inspired

Here's a little craft tutorial inspired by Pinterest. It's really easy. I think it took me a total of 5 minutes to put it all together.

Here's the inspiration,

and here's what you need to make your own.
Matted frame (I used a 11x14 with a 8x10 opening), glue gun, scrapbook paper, and small clothes pins. I had everything at home except for the clothes pins, they were 8 for $1 at Wal-Mart.

Remove the glass from the frame, glue the clothes pin to the paper, and.......

taaaa daaaa! Here it is!

I love it! I'm going to use it for school pictures since we're always getting them.
